Community Guidelines

Prayer & Purpose is a gentle place for every faith and belief. These guidelines help everyone feel safe enough to share what's on their heart.

Lift each other up

• Respond with encouragement, compassion, and hope. Assume good intentions.
• Honor every spiritual path. Offer prayers in your own tradition, but never pressure, preach at, or try to convert others.
• Disagreement about beliefs isn't a reason to post. If a request doesn't resonate with you, simply move on.

Protect privacy

• Don't share anyone's full name, address, phone number, workplace, or other identifying details, including your own.
• Share other people's stories only in general terms ("a dear friend", "my sister").
• What's shared here stays here. Please don't copy members' requests to other sites.

Not allowed

• Hate, harassment, threats, or mocking anyone's faith, identity, or circumstances.
• Requests for money, fundraising links, selling, advertising, or spam.
• Medical, legal, or financial instructions presented as fact, or promises that a prayer will produce a specific result.
• Graphic or sexual content.
• Impersonating another person or organization.

If someone is in danger

If you or someone else is at risk of harm, please contact local emergency services right away. In the US, you can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. The community can hold you in prayer, but it can't replace urgent help.

Reporting and moderation

• Use the Report button on any request that breaks these guidelines. Reports are confidential.
• Requests reported by several members are hidden automatically until a moderator reviews them.
• Moderators may restore, hide, or remove content, and may suspend accounts that repeatedly break these guidelines.
• You can remove your own requests and responses at any time.
